Another Newbie here...Just ordered my first Toyota...

...and ordered the '06 Corolla S in Silver Mica. Just curious if getting the self dimming mirror was a good move for about $250. It has to be an add on option. Also, I elected to get it rust proofed and scotch guarded by a company that the dealer uses and its not Ziebart. Good idea or not. I live in Michigan and they are getting $699 fr the whole package. I was told they use a clay compound to smooth the paint and apply something like a clear coat but its not clear coat. Am I getting something I don't need? Thanks...Dave

hmm, the mirrors i don't know, but the other thing sounds like the ToyoGuard sealant they put on the paint. Mine came with it, I'm pretty sure they all do. They gave me this sealant cleaner/wax stuff that's supposed to be specifically for it, haven't used it yet, but i dunno.. that's what it seems like to me. I figure it can't hurt.. I think it was included in the same package with the VIN # etched in about 40 different places on the car, and a few other features..
