disabling drl's on 2006 type s corolla

does anyone know which wire to cut to disable the drl's on the 2006 models i found the box under the steering column and have cut the yellow wire but that disable the headlights all together i couldnt used the manual switch to turn on the lights do i have to ground the other end for it to work manually please help all i did was cut the yellow wire to test it.

Worst comes to worst, you should have taped / crimped the wire back together.

There are two yellow wires under the dash, one of them will disable the DRLs. Send it to a ground under the dash and you should be done.
