7AFE Engine Swap Info Needed

Hello all. I have a 93 Corolla with Federal emissions and a blown 7AFE motor (3 holes in the block). In my quest for a decent used engine I have come across some conflicting information and was wondering if anyone here might know the truth. I have located a 90k mile 1997 7AFE motor from a Corolla with Federal emissions (have not verified first hand yet). Will this work for me? Some salvage yards claim the wiring is diiferent and that the newer models have additional sensors in the block and head, some say it will work? I dont mind swapping manifolds if need be, but I dont want to reuse my old head. And I don't want to get it in and run into electrical problems. Thanks for any help.
