My dad has a '96 DX and lately this car SUCKS GAS BACK. And the same time this started to occur, the "check engine" light came on. Could it be the O2 sensor? Enlighten me with wisdom!!!!!!

Take it to Autozone and have them check the ECU codes.

it suddenly gets less MPG than a Hummer. You can almost watch the needle go down.

Ahh, OK. Ya, definitely have Autozone check the codes for you & see what comes up.

I don't *think* that an 02 sensor would cause such fuel loss. It almost sounds like a fuel system leak or something.

Then again, I hate all the sensors & crap on new cars. Between all the vacuum lines & sensors, it's enough to make me want to take my stuff to a mechanic 'cuz it's just too much junk goin' to too many different places with too many variables for a problem.

Gimme a couple Weber 2-barrel carbs, ignition and air and I'll make combustion. Ta' he// with all these sensors & crap......
