How the heck does THIS detect airflow??????????????????????????

When deciding about whether to put a cleaner/simpler cone air filter under the hood, I recall being told here to just be sure and get an AF adapter for the cone filter.

So as I had everything apart today I decided to check this little gizmo out & see how it actually "detects" air flow.

WTF???? There are no holes, wires, screens...........NOTHING!! How the heck does this detect airflow????

that's a temp sensor. if this is a 93-97, there's a MAP sensor bolted to your firewall. As long as the intake you use has a hole for that, you'll be fine. Hell. you might be able to get away with just leaving that hanging.

that is an intake air temp sensor, its a thermister
