Is this a 4AGE or not ?

ok the other day i cecked out a corolla i may be getting,the car is a 93-97 toyota corolla i beleive a dx.ok the guy claims its a 1.8 but not a 4age..........i dont have the greatest knowlegde w/toyota as i do hondas but i've been seacrhing and can not find any other 1.8's for this car.i was wondering could anyone help me out ? what is the most common swap for that year corolla that is a 1.8 dohc engine ? all i can find is a 4age..please help so i know what im getitng please. thanks

If it's 1.8 liters it's the 7A-FE, the larger version of the 1.6 liter 4A-FE

Just look at the sticker under the hood, either it will say 4AFE (1.6) or 7AFE (1.8).

The 4A-GE isn't 1.8l. It's 1.6.
And like mentioned above, you've got a 4A-FE if its 1.6l and a 7A-FE if it's 1.8l.

I miss my 97 Corolla SD with the 1.8L 7A-FE.

Ya like they already said, it's probbaly the 7A-FE.

If it looks like this then its a 4AGE.. only 4AGEs say "TWIN CAM" on them.
