1998-2002 full size spare?

I bought a 99 corolla and am loving the gas milage. I have tinkering with a few things on it when I found the little spare. Has anyone bought a 14" wheel and tire and put it in the spare compartment? If so did the spare cover sit flat(the part with the carpet on it)?

I have a full sized spare in my corolla.. I don't have any issues with the spare cover sitting flat.

A full sized spare will fit. The compartment is also made to hold your flat when your spare is put on.

Great! Not the search is on to find a used wheel. What is the bolt patten and does anyone know what other models are the same as the corolla?

I have enough room for my full size 195/60/14 spare and a big torque wrench to fit in mine and the carpet is flat so no worries. I dont know if the carpet would be flat with a 205 or 215 wide tire in there or not. I have noticed no decrease in mileage with it in the trunk either along with a 2 ton jack also.
