Question E11 with 4agze, blowoff valve yes/no??

Hi guys,

I'm D from holland and swapped my e11 hatch with a nice gen3 4agze with a HKS pulley.
Now is my question is it possible to mount an blowoff valve on the engine or not. And how do i do that. Someone experience with this??

hope you know more than we do here in holland.

yes its possible, but there really isnt any benefit, because the SC turns with the engine RPM, it wont keep on blowing air after you close the throttle.

But do like the sound.

I do hear my abv when i am making high revs and shifting only the sound is very soft. I do like the air release sound of an blowoff valve.

So it is possible. but how can i install? someone did it before?

Actually now that I think about it, I dont think its possible to do.
the supercharger is after the throttle body, so where would you put the BOV. Nowhere.

I've heard you can just replace your bypass valve with a blowoff valve, but it won't sound like it will with a turbo. Im not even sure you can do it. I've never seen it done, just heard that it can be done, so dont run out buying parts because of this post =P

But I mean, who cares of the BOV sound when you dont even need it. Silent killer is alot better.

Oh no doubt.
I personally prefer the methodical whine of a supercharger (especially a really big supercharger attached to a growling V8) to the "look at me Im cool" whistle of a turbo any day.

The supercharger on the ZE is a draw through design meaning that the throttle body is before the supercharger and the intake plumbing isn't pressurized like a typical blow through turbocharged setup. You can't put a blow off valve on it.

A blow off valve is designed to save the turbo or supercharger from the pressure surge when you let off the throttle real quick but, since all of the extra pressure is already past the throttle body, it just goes right into the engine.
