As for the amp over heating...I thought of that too, but no need to worry. There's a huge air pocket of dead space back there. Further more, my amps have auxillary fans

I was also contemplating your idea of putting the amp on the trunklid too. However, I don't like the idea of suspending the amp and having to fuss with it and securing it. Here's Mach_Y's setup
