Yeah, I am not sure that I would risk higher wattage bulbs.
I myself have tried both Luminics and PIAA bulbs in my 07 Camry LE::
First, dont even mess with the Luminics! They were SCARY at night - I thought I was going to crash due to the fact that they were so dim.
(Note: this was due to the projector headlamps that the Camry has)
Second, the PIAAs are expensive and were not noticeably brighter or whiter than the stock bulbs.
Therefore, I recommend not wasting money on buying bulbs.
If you want a change in lighting, go HID.
