Hood Latch Squeek......
Amazing. Today I spent some time tracking down the source of a terrible squeek. The source turned out to be a dry hood latch just like "bindertch" found. I had removed the front wheels and checked the shock tightness too. To find it I opened the drivers door and shook the heck out of the truck, with the hood shut. Heard the bad squeek. Opened the hood and shook the truck again and no squeek was heard. Closed the hood and had my wife place here hand firmly on the closed hood as I shook it and no squeek! She's a genius she is! Spayed white lithium grease on the offending area and kazaam.....No More Squeak! Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees! Love this forum and I am learning a lot of stuff.
