AROSPEED CHROME HEADER

ECU REDLINE POWER CHIP MODULE

UNORTHODOX RACING UNDERDRIVE PULLEY

PAUTER BILLET RODS

These 8 parts i wanna know if it really helps or not? I just want a good opinions from you all! like Brand wise or suggestion on what parts needed! that would be good maods to start and will give you about 160 hp. i would find a junked celica and steal a 5 spd out of it, thats what i plan to do. the best mod for a celica is a 3sgte swap though.

lemme get this straight, you are thinking of doing all those bolt ons, and then rebuilding the engine to use the pauter rods?
sounds like it will cost an absolute fortune, rebuilding the engine isnt going to do much for you anyway. you could buy a new engine for much less than you are thinking of spending.

sounds like a lot of money involved in that...what's your budget and how much power are you looking at?

i would forget the spacer and the rods. i dont know about this "speed" chip thing u are talking about can u post a link to it? ull get the bulk from the intake, headers and exaust. the pulley will give you a little bit but if it costs alot forget it. be sure to upgrade your ignition too.

THROTTLE BODY SPACER < that isn't going to do anything but look shiney

COLD AIR INTAKE SYSTEM < this is a good start.

AEM COLD INTAKE BY-PASS VALVE why would you need a bpv on a na car? if this is what i think it is then it is worthless.

APEXI N1 SPEC EXHAUST MUFFLER SYSTEM < this exhaust sounds like shit. get a magnaflow or something else instead.

AROSPEED CHROME HEADER < headers are a good way to make power, but you should get a straight pipe for in between here and the muffler

ECU REDLINE POWER CHIP MODULE < this thing is probably bullshit.

UNORTHODOX RACING UNDERDRIVE PULLEY < mess with your engine harmonics, and do virtually next to nothing. yaaay!

PAUTER BILLET RODS < this is engine rebuild stuff here... that's a totally different can of worms.

if you want more power, intake and exhaust are the ways to go. that's about it though. a 3sge or 3sgte swap would be a much better investment, or you could rebuild the 5sfe with a higher cr. though even then there is much more potential for a 3s block.

Regarding the AEM, I think he means the valve for the cold air intake, so it won't suck up water.

It's supposed to increase the distance the air has to travel, thus increasing torque.
It's a trick off old V8s and such.
Pretty much worthless on that engine.

as for the underdrive pulley - a few ppl on the camry forum are using them in their 5sfe's.. ive heard conflicting stories about them though. some say its great, others say its dangerous as the unorthodox pulleys dont have the vibration absorbing construction that the stock one has.

the 3sgte swap is your best bang for your buck.... but if ya wanna build a 5sfe, it can be done!!

I have a 6th gen celica GTS (gts is a canadian thing)... I have a 3sgte for it, but need a harness and a few other parts!!.. but for now I have the 2.2L 5sfe.. currently I have a short ram intake, TRD positive charge system (voltage regulator), JDM fuel pressure regulator, Nology Igintion, upgraded to 2 1/2" exhaust cat back, stage 2 F1 racing clutch and fidanza light weight flywheel. all of these mods are to support the Turbo I had on the 5sfe last summer.. Had to take it off though, needed a rebuild!! but even with turbo off, the car works great!!

maybe if ya have the budget, you should look into rods, and high compression pistons!! was thinking of this myself, but I am gonna go forced induction!!

That would be the harmonic balancer only.
The other pulleys do absolutely no vibration absorbtion at all.
