Angry 87 Celica will not start

Hello I am a first time user of this forum. I have a 87 GT Convertible Celica that I bought off Ebay a few years ago. After putting some TLC into it and a couple more thousand dollars it has been a good little car. Saved me thousands on gas even before the huge hike. My tension pulley froze and burned up my belt. Like I have read in other post Gates states that there is nothing else you have to do other than replacing everything with a new kit. We did that and the car had a nasty spark knock. It ran for about 2 days and died. We have not been able to get any spark at all. I have replaced the igniter with a used one and the ECM. The distributor is 2 years old...thinking that maybe the pick up was damaged we replaced that as well but nothing. I was told that possibly the Ignition Relay could be bad. It is clicking...is there any test to check that thing out? I doubt that is it...since it was running then started missing and sputtering and then died leaving me on the side of the road. It has been 2 weeks since then and we are running out of answers. Can anyone out there help me???

Where are you at in NC?

You're not getting any spark at all at the coil?
If so, it has nothing to do with your dist.
Is the ignitor sending a signal to the coil?

Thank you for the reply. From the test that we've done there is nothing coming from the igniter. We replaced it with a used one...and still no spark. The coil is intergrated into the distributor. We replaced the entire distributor with a new one and no luck. I live in Farmville. Small town just west of Greenville.

First off, unless you want to spend all kinds of $$$$, before you start replacing parts, verify....

Is the ignitor getting signal?

And I'm a ways out from you.
In Camp Lejeune.

Cool my sister lives in Jacksonville. I lived there for several years...Northwoods, Piney Green Rd, Onslow Pines Rd. OK I am going to take the used igniter that I bought off Ebay over to Greenville Toyo. The service manager is a friend and they will do a test on it to make sure that it is good.
