hey all, I was just wondering if anyone's heard of a celica hiting high 10's? and im talking about a celica without an engine swap, can the 2zz get up to that much power/speed?

If you are not limitting to 7th gen Celica, there is one Alltrac that hit high 10's. Yes, on stock 3sgte (highly mod though). I've never heard of any 7th gen 2zz equipped hit 10's in 1/4. The chance that 2zz will make enough hp and the FWD 7th gen will get enough traction is very slim.

there's a st185 down under with a v8 TT swapped in,rwd conversion. not sure if it runs 10's, but besides pat c's car... if a celica is capable of single digit speeds then it is this one.

Last time I've heard, Justen's GT8 doing 12s because he had problem with traction.
I'm sure the car is capable of 11s or even 10s.
Should keep an eye on Ryan's ST185 and Jeff's (Smayy).
Both are running stroker.
