pros/cons of 2005 celica gts - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I think its time for me to buy a new car and I am considering the Celica GT-S. I thought this would be the best place for input or feedback on the late model gt-s's. Because it will be my first "sports car" I am kinda interested in the performance aspect, and its aftermarket potential. 130 ft-lbs of torque sounds kinda low... is this a problem? or is there any sort of remedy to this torque problem? And also comments about comfort, looks, and overall driving experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

the gts doesnt have alot of torque but it does have decent horsepower and only weighs 2500 lbs. so it is still decently fast. they are capable of running 14s stock and the aftermarket is growing. you can buy a turbo kit for 250+hp. they have excellent handling and imo look very nice. theyre an overall good car you shouldnt be dissapointred.
