All trac upgrades

Hey guys, first time posting in this section cause i drive a 87 supra turbo. anyway my friend bought a 88 all trac. He got it for 1000cdn from my old mechanic (my mechanic doesn't know the value for these cars) right now he fixing the rust on it and hopes to paint it during winter. But he also wants more pwoer. I noticed thatafter driving the supra, that car feels sloooow. it can't even get ahead of me at all in the 1/4, not even at launch! it has a turbo that needs to be replaced andwe are looking into one right now but his works so it shouldn't be that great of a difference. Now what else coudl he do to upgarde the car? Any links to performance parts?

he has a newer engine that my mechanic got and installed. he says it has about 30000 on it. It leaks oil cause this small seal is a bit cracked. so his engien is all synthetic and is good to go. also where the internals on the 185's and 205's stronger by any chance?

If the turbo is out, it's time to do the exhaust. Go 2.5" or 3" all the way.
He has a few choice of bolt on turbos.
The MKIII CT26 will bolt on to the manifold but he'll need to clock it a bit.
The twin-entry CT26 from ST185 or MR2T will bolt on but he'll need the twin-entry manifold.
If he still have stock w/a TMIC, he can upgrade the intercooler heat exchanger and do coolant pump constant run mod.
Otherwise, the FMIC or ST205 IC is a hugh improvement over the stock ST165 core.
Get rid of the fuel cut and set the boost 12 psi.
Make the straight intake.

there must be something wrong with his engine if it is a 185 he should atrleast launch on you. but you cant expect a turbo 4cyl. to beat a turbo 6cyl. does canada get the 225hp 3sgte or the 200hp version?
