Looking at a Celica

Hello I am new to the forum and currently do not own a celica, however; I am looking at one. My questions are really how do they handle in the snow. I build houses for a living and I am going to need something that can get through alittle snow. I don't want to be afraid to be driving in 3 inches of snow... I know I probably should be buying a 4x4 however I really really am not a truck kinda guy, and I drive alot so I want to feel good about what I'm driving in. This car is a second car really for me as my other car is a rare fiero and I really dont' want to drive it in winter.

I'm looking at a white 2000 gt-s with the 6 speed tranny. ( I love the sound of the 6 speed) The body has 120,000 on it but the engine has about 30000 and the clutch is new. All paper work has been provided. What do you guys think of the car? Should I be concerned to drive it in snow?

Thanks alot for all your time, and thanks for the help. Hope to hear from you all soon.

The celica that you are looking at sounds promising. Since Celicas are front wheel drive, opposed to your rear wheel drive fiero. The Celica is far superior to Fiero in the snow. And if you put snow tires+ studs you can drive in 12in snow down sheats. I live in Denver colorado and we get hounded with snow all time in the winter. Been able to get where I want to except for the time it snowed 36" then it was rough. I need to find some snow tires now that I think of it. Good luck. You won't be disappointed.

you could get a 1990-1993 celica alltrac. 200hp and all wheel drive. theyre rare though. but i think the 2000gt-s will do you well though.

with some winter tire and carefull driving it should be ok in the snow..

as for the comment for the alltrac, sorry man but I would say dont buy one.. reason being the alltrac are also some Rare cars (just like your fiero, toyota build them so you can race in the World Rally and only limited numbers were made. So it would be sad for it to be just a winter car..)

Edward.
