5sfe turbo question

been trying to buy a 3sgte map for months. dont wants pay 300.00 for one. Is they another type of map sensor that will work with the 5sfte????????

You don't even need a map sensor if you use an FMU. What kind of engine management are you using?

Did you put a WTB ad on the celica and mr2 forums? I've seen them go for around $50.

Dr. Tweak is right you should be able to find one fairly easily if you put up some posts on celica and MR2 forms. They go from anywhere between 50-100... good luck

with that set up you could easily run a gm map sensor... I think

So a gm 3 bar map would work with the stock 5sfe computer? Cool seen some of those on ebay foe cheap. Can someone elese back me up on this before I a gm 3 bar map???????

the 2 bars aren't really had to come by though..

3sgte map sensor voltage readings........ I finally found out that it will work.

Pressure Reading------ Voltage------ Throttle %
Idle Vac------------------ 1.4v---------- 26
Zero Vac/Boost--------- 2.5v---------- 65
7 psi---------------------- 3.45v-------- 90
9 psi---------------------- 3.7v---------- 100*


MSD-2312

GM 2 bar Map Sensor I will be using a btm with an apexi safc II. I think it will work!!!!!!!!!!
They all share a common pinout, although the connector keying may be different:
Pin A -- Ground
Pin B -- Sensor output
Pin C -- +5 volts

I have my car back on the road now but still dont have the turbo on yet. I ordered a manifold from ebay and had a wastegate flange welded on one of the runners but when I bolted it to my head it was in the way of my hood. That sucks. Then I found a factory 3sgte manifold 1 month later. The guy took another month to mail it... Then I found a ct-26/t3 flange with a wastegate port on ebay. Just got my manifold yesterday a matter of fact.... Maybe next week I will be boosting....

what manifold did you get?
I got an ebay manifold as well and not all the welds were complete. check it over carefully
