Well, it wont start again!!!!!!!1

First of all this car is about to drive me nucking futs! Put in a new battery and it worked fine 3 times this weekend we drove it.

When it first started if you put a load on the electrical system the motor would bog down until you revved it up.. Striked ne as odd, but what the hell do I know?

Went out tonight to start it and it does the same ole crank forever, but this time if you turn the key to On and listen you can hear a steady ticking from under the hood seems to be on the passenger side. WTF?

ANy ideas?

It's your altenator. It's working partly when it turns faster. It's not charging your battery.
Other posibility is a short on the left side so when you have more amperage it overrides the short. Well that's my two cents.

Checking the alternator is pretty easy. Some parts stores will even check it for free but you have to get it there.

Use a multi meter and check the voltage at the battery. It should be 12V or a little more to start. Anything less and it probably won't. Once it is running it should be something more than 12V. Check the manual for the exact voltage but I believe it should be around 14.5 or so.

Good luck.
