Hand brake light

I got a 90 celica gt and some where in between 2nd and 3rd gear my handbrake light goes on, but it goes off after a few seconds it usually happens when the RPM's get high, im guessin its a lose wire or something but i also put in some white face gauages not to long ago but i dont know if that would cause this kind of problem. i would appreciate any insight.

Thanks

my 89 gt does that too. dont worry about it. as long as your hand brake works and it doesnt go on when the light does then it aint a problem

might not want to do that
the light goes on for a reason
one of two reasons:
1: You need new brakes
2: You're low on brake fluid, or something with the fluid. There is a sensor that tells if the fluid is below a pt.

If it was one of those 2 things u listed that could be wrong why wouldnt the light be on all the time or atleast while braking, instead of only kicking in at high rpms and only in 2 and 3rd (gears), and i just got it inspected 1 month ago so i dont think the brakes need to be replaced but ill get the fluid level checked

THE CURE FOR THE BREAK LIGHT

when the fluid is just below the full line it comes on with hard exceleration so if you plan on driving the car hard overfill it. as the breaks wear the fluid level goes down and when enough fluid is missing that the light stays on it is time to replace the pads.
