5s-ge Please Someone Help Me!!!!

After doing much research i discover that the 3s and 5s blocks are very close to the same with the excepthon the 5s is bore bigger. So for the longest i has been trying to get help on mating a GE head on a 5s block. Now i already know the oil and water passges are different with the years. I have a 1990 Celica GT with a 5s-fe, Today i saw a 3S-GE in the junk yard, the motor was in a 4th gen celica i believe to a 1986, I plan to swap the head,ECU, wirning harness, to get more horse power instead of bying a jdm motor. So my question is do you Toyota Nation know anyone who has done this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me some feed back. By tomarrow i would have pulled the 3S-GE and then shorty after ward we will know. Oh yes its a ***amatic and im converting it to a 5 speed also im swaping the 3s crank for higher revving(2.1 Liter)
