USA 92 Celica Coolant Temparature Switch...

how do you remove this thing??? According to the Haynes manual, you should be able to disconnect the switch from the radiator without draining the radiator (the electrical connector disconnects from the actual switch that mounts to the radiator). I don't know if there is just not enough room down there... but I cannot figure out how to disconnect the connector without taking the whole switch off the radiator. Any advice??

Press the plug and pull. You know all the plug have a tab you need to push to release the lock.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I am aware most all plugs have a catching tab. This plug looks like it should have one... but, due to the angle which I am able to view it, I do not see a tab to push. I will check again for a 3rd time tonight. Why do things that are so simple turn in to such big deals!??

The tab maybe facing down. This one is hard to pull out due to crap and the o-ring on the plug. You'll have to wiggle it out.

In my experience, anything that can go wrong, will. Like when you drop a bolt, it always seems to be the very last one to go in and it goes to the furthest, darkest, dirtiest spot in the garage so you can't find it.
