Swap help (4a-ge into 91 celica st)

I have recently purchased a 91 Celica ST to use it as a daily driver with plans to do up a 92 mr2 but because of unavailable funds, I'm stuck with the celica. Recently ive been pondering of performance upgrades. My boyfriend had noticed that the engine in the car is of the 4a family and a 4a-ge would bolt up to the tranny. I would like to keep my car an automatic but I want performance. He has a 4a-ge laying around from an mr2 that he was going to put in his ae86 but he's putting in a ae101 instead. So he said I could have the engine, harness and all. But I have to figure out how to get the engine to swap in. Im not trying to set my standards to high, but i am a beginner and i need to start with something small. I know a 3s-gte would be better but this is what I have now. So could you guys help me out with the wiring? All info would help. Thanks a bunch.

That swap will be pretty simple for you. To keep it auto, you're going to need a flexplate from an auto 4AGE... they're a little hard to find, but the auto 4AGE silvertops can be found from time to time. The flexplate from your 4AFE won't bolt up because it's a 6 bolt instead of 8 bolt crank.

Other than that, the swap will mechanically bolt right up, it's not that hard. For the wiring, there's a lot to it. The simplest thing to do is to just remove both harnesses and ECUs and send them to me, I'll rewire them so that they are pretty well plug and play. The cost is $350 including shipping back to you.

Or if you want to get the whole car over here to Vermont, I'll do the entire swap for $700 labor.

Unhappy

Is this the only response that I get? I know it's somebody else out there who can help me. Come on people, 14 people have viewed my thread and only one person responded? Whats up with that? I really need help.
