the only difference between the USDM and the JDM 3sgte is the ECU as far as I know. Are you sure your not missing anything else.
Does your car crank? what exactly is happening?

Just so people don't go paying for what they THINK they are getting:

ALL TOYOTAS ARE JDM!!! There were then mods made for market due to EPA law, Cali. extra laws, Can. and so on.

In this case if you have an engine designed for Japanese market, you are missing Emission Control hardware. Totally correct on the computer being the issue. You can re-wire and trick. New computer is $975USD or so.

No, not all toyotas are JDM.

Japan Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles are not the same as US Domestic Market vehicles (USDM). If a toyota fabs an extra cat, for sale in california. It is NOT for the Japanese Domestic Market. ie. NOT JDM.

If a toyota releases an ECU tuned for 92 PON gas, its NOT JDM.

you perhaps missed the meaning of JDM. Yes they are made in japan, doesn't mean they are JDM.

BTW- there is a lot of info on alltrac.net regarding JDM engines and USDM ECUs, they are compatable, minor wiring modifications needed.
