6sp trouble today
So today's the first major dump of snow we've had. Minus temps, and I start up the car and let it warm up while I cleared some now. I put it in reverse, but the car doesnt move... There was a bit of a noise, as if an actuator was trying to start up or something (kind of a whiny noise, kinda like a sick-sounding reverse when you've got a bit of speed)
So I put it back in nuetral, and put it in reverse again, it seemed to go this time, but I've never had this happen before.
Later on the drive to work, at a couple of stop lights there woul dbe a noise when I was slowing down to the light with my brake on and I'd start to put the clutch in. Some noise was there.... Cant quite explain it, but i think it's related. This happened twice, once when I was braking making me think I had brake problem (but no warning lights were on), and another time when I was going in first gear, so I put it in 2nd and it went away.
Not sure what it could be... I just got my car back from a lift bolt issue, now my tranny's going to piss. Any suggestions?
btw - why isnt there a maintenance/repair forum on this site?
