cold air intake

my friend had a cold air intake for his 5th gen prelude and he didn't want to use it anymore. so today i put it on mine (5th gen celica). it barely fit and i had to cut off about 1 inch off and readjust the battery a little. i just wanted to know that b/c i did this, would anything bad happen to my car? i'll try to take pictures later b/c right now it is dark outside. any suggestions would be nice.

dont think removing the battery a little or cutting the piping 1inch off would do anything bad to your car. UNLESS you did not secure them properly.

EDIT: I just did a custom CAI last week. make sure you secure them properly
