89 gts

im not a big toyota fan i like my datsun 280 zxt s i have 3 but im impressed by my 89 toy celica gts i got it for a winter beater for 200 bucks put a wheel bering in it and good to go this car screems i never had a front wheel drive that whould brake the front tires lose going down the road [when runing it hard]the 3s ge runs great the steering is a bit too touchy gas milage is good about 30 but it suck in the winter with its 205 60 r14s by the way what size tire can i put on the front snow tires to clear spring and wells very good car and fast will beat most 4cyl out thare i like toys a littel better now

That is a kick deal on a 3S-GE!
I know the wheel wells are some what limiting but you can easily get to a 16" rim. So I would figure smaller rim for winter . . .bigger tire? Go wide, high, and low in the spring?
(Don't know too much about the tires/wheels)
Just curious if you could elaborate on condition at purchace.

Have fun. Don't be afraid to let it loose. The motor can take it. The 86+ Celicas were actually fairly a head of the time when it came to driveability vs economy.

the celica gts i got is in good cond has some rust around the drivers wheel well will repair when wether get better had to fix rear window defroster right front wheel berring a vacume leak replace the left headlight popup unit pass door lock switch rear brakes and put a cd player and amp in all else works the kid i got it off of said that the previos owner put a bran new crate engin in it the milage is 158000 and its a screemer a good toy to play with
