Maaco or not?

I need to get the Celica painted and am considering Maaco as an option. Most body shops I call only do repair and paint and won't even do a whole car.
Maaco has 4 price ranges and I was considering the top two.

maaco, I don't know about that one. They do use cheap paint sometimes and just do enough to get the job done. I guess you get what you get for. Maybe if you prep it up and have them shoot the paint, maybe maaco would be o.k. I guess. Beware of the cheap prices, the paint is not meant to last long.

If you love your celica, you will NOT hand it over to maaco.

I third that, less than one year the paint faded like crazy and spots came everywhere.. they would not honor their warranty..

I know somone that had pretty good luck with a Mustang at Maaco. The car was garaged and rarely driven though and didn't need any body work. I also know a couple of people in the auto body business. What they tell me is that if you plan on keeping your car for a long time, your better off paying the extra money for better quality products. If you think you're going to be in a different car a year or two down the road then go to Maaco and save a few bucks. Generally, there work is OK, they all received the same initial training in school. Where they save money is on the products they use, so they can fade and chip sooner and easier than other products.

Let us know what you decide.
