tune ups

i'll admit that i'm an evo ownwer, and i'm not here to bash on anyone. reason that i'm here is beacuse of my girl(who owns a celica) is having trouble on her car lately. i'm not familiar with the car so pls. help. she told me that there's an engine noise, a squeeking sound from the engine and if she drives and let go of the gas, the car jerks as if it's about to shut down on her. i'm suspecting it might be the belt of the alternator or spark plugs. any advise would help me a lot and if it's only needs a tune up, pls. let me know what are the things that needs to be replaced/change. she has 2000 celica, automatic transmission with 61,000 milage on it. i'm going to do all the labor for her so that my girl would save more money. i appreciate all your response and i hope you guys would help me out. pls. email me at recca08karyu@yahoo.com

Hey there fellow Evo owner. I have an 03 GSR no sunroof and wingless.

I think you'll be needing a serpentine belt. Also possible serp belt tensioner. Look for leakeage on the tensioner shock.

Spark plugs are iridiums on these so they should last at least 90K. At 60K you should change all fluids, air filter, pcv, rotate tires. I would also suggest a fuel injector and t-body cleaning For the jerking and almost dying out.

Good luck, Hit 11's yet ?

PCV = Positive Cranckcase Ventilation
Try cleaning MAF sensor too.
