5th gen climate control lights

I have a 1990 gts and the climate control lights arn't working properly....
The images of the people and direction of air flow don't light up but when you push the button, the light at the top of the button works still.
And sometimes the words "Off, Low, Med, High..." light up but the majority of the time they are also dead...

Does anyone know what's wrong here?

mine do almost the same things. They flicker sometimes and other times dont work at all. I think it is pretty common with the 5th gen celicas. probably something to do with soildering or bulbs. I have just been ignoring it.

Yeah, either your bulbs are going out [they're a dealer only item, and I believe pretty expensive] or the soldering on the circut board is going bad.
