Where is OBD?

I went for an emissions test today and they couldn't find the OBD connector in my 1999 Celica. It is a convertible (was modified after initial construction) and we had an after-market alarm system added as a separate procedure. Please, any help is appreciated!

That sounds crazy. I hope they did not charge you since they could not do their job. A call to the dealer would of answered the question. BTW I don't know where it is on your car. Oh yeah I would take it some where else next time.

It should be under the cover between steering wheel and center console.

OBD Found!

Thanks for the responses. We found the OBD in the correct general area between the center console and the steering wheel. What made it difficult was that when they converted the car to a convertible, apparently they installed a reinforcing wall and hung the OBD up over it so it was hidden behind.
