84 GT motor missing bad

I have a 1984 Celica GT that hads started Missing when I start the car up.
It starts great then a few seconds later it starts missing like a cylender
is not firing.

When the car runs for a bit and warms up, it starts running better and the
miss pretty much disapears.

Can anyone tell me where I should look to solve this problem? I have already
checked the wires, plugs, cap, rotor and ignition module so these are not
the sorce of the problem...

Its hard to say without actually looking at it. I'd start with a bottle of gasline antifreeze, its like a buck from NAPA or somwhere. You may have a little condensation in your tank. Let us know if that helps.

gasoline antifreeze.. better not be freezing in orangecountry..

can you describe the miss a little better? does it idle by itself?

there's acouple different things it could be.. if you're sure it's not the spark, the csi and idle bypass might be acting up..

try to describe it better, and we might be able to walk you through some other checks..

Freezing in Orange County :o ...

The car will run by itself no problem and does not try to die out unless I put into drive but then a tap of the gas gets it back.

I have a remote starter in the car and can hit the button and it starts on its own without a broblem but no more than 20 seconds later it goes into it's slightly rough idle and the missing begins. When I drive the car around a bit and the engine warms up, it starts to purr like a kitten and runs great. I have a slight hesitation when I hit the gas but this has been there for several years and the last time I took her to Toyota they could not help. Reason number one why I don't want to take her to Toyota...

Where is the Idle Bypass located so I can check it out to see if maybe????

What difference does that make??? I was not aware that I had to be in Canada to ask a question on this board about a car that is sold internationally...

I think you misunderstood his post. He's trying to say since the site is based in Canada, he assumed most of the people are from Canada.

But that doesn't mean people outside of Canada cannot post here.
