92 celica 1900$

im looking at a used celica 92 for my son anything i need to know about or need to realy look for that i might miss

look under it for rust holes

Definately check for rust holes in the floors

i just bought a 1991 celica gt and it has 2 large holes in the floor... under rear passenger seats both sides... I paid nothign for the car so i wasn't to bothered....

For $1900 i would expect a pretty straight car....

Obviously check fluids and stuff.. also look for water in the spare tire compartment.. as the hatch backs are known for leaks.. It could be rusty in there!

Toyota engines = bullet proof

Toyota bodies = rust buckets

But arent the 5SFE prone to sluge?

Check radiator for rust. It was the only problem we saw on my 91 GT and 93 Camry (both 5SFE)
