My celica wont start at all but it cranks

Ok guys I have a 91 gts. My cousin took the car to a car wash. He washed the egine with the water pressure gun. He said he started the car and it started fine. Then he drove away but the car turned off on him. He tried to start it back again and it did, but it sounded like a motorcycle, a lot of explotions. Then I came and started the car. It did the same thing, but when I released the gas it turned off. After that the car didn't want to start again. I took it home and we thought it was the timing belt that jumped. So we put it apart, timed the engine and put the belt back but the car still wont start. It has gas pressure, and a good spark. The coil looks good. So i don't know what the problems is. Is there any one who can help me with this before i take it to a car shop?

I assume the car ran fine on all cylinders before hand. Most of the time its the distibutor. Check the cap and rotor. How do you know your getting spark and fuel pressure ? There is a freak chance the water got in your fuse box or shorted out the wireloom to the brain. look at the fuses under the hood and inside your car. Check at the ECU with a voltmeter if power is being delivered via the three power wires inside the wire loom. If you dont have a schematic just look for bigger wires. If you dont have power there you have problems of huge proportions. I'm a decent mechanic and I had to pay a guy to repair my wire loom after an accident with a jump start gone bad with reversed cables.
Good Luck Brett
