Are you asking how much the swap would be? or how much will the car be after you swap it? I think you can find a JDM ST185 Front clip somewhere and just swap that into your 5th gen w/ no problems. The front clip comes with everything you need, and its only like $2500 for it or even cheaper.. Just need to look around.

A swapped car won't sell, period. Nothing against you but think about it, with all the possible problem with a swap car will you buy one? No mechanic will touch it. If you don't know enough to fix/maintain it, you can't pay enough for someone to fix it. It'll cost you less to just buy a STi.
Unless you find someone who know enough to do everything himself/herself. Then he/she won't pay you much for it. Try sell it to some rich kid who don't know anything.

just saw your forslae post. The 3SGTE with all parts need for swap worth more then the car.

Ohh yeah... totally didn't think about that. Mechanics wont touch it at all. If you don't know anything about cars, it might even be worse. Dunno about being less than an STi kuz those are a grip load also...

If you need to take a swapped car to get service at dealer, you're better off just buy a new car.

That is wrong.
There are people with swaps that have taken them to the dealer, with no hassles.
The dealer should be familiar with the 3SGTE. It came in the Celica and MR2....

Dunno about countries other than New Zealand...But over here if you work with cars and dont know what a 3sgte is, your a moron... Theyre a VERY common toyota engine and relatively easy to work on. If you can swap the engine yourself, you have enough relative know-how to maintain it etc. I maintain my own car and i did the conversion on it...
