Gen5 Turbocharging a 3sfe

Hi I am considering turbocharging a 3sfe. I bought a 1990 celica gt-s in great condition exept that the 5sfe engine has a spun bearing. I was going to turbocharge the 5sfe. It is going to be quite expensive to rebuild the 5sfe with forged internals. I am now considering swapping in a jdm 3sfe stock internals probably running about 7 psi of boost. I know what needs to be done to the fuel system, light green top supra injectors, 3sgte map sensor and so fourth commonly done when turboing a 5sfe. I want my car on the road by summer. I will work out the bugs this summer and rebuild my 5sfe for the turbo and swap it in next winter. Does this sound like a good plan? Will the 3sfe hold up as well as a 5sfe does when turboed properly. I am not finding much info on turboing a 3sfe. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Swap in a 3sgte. Use the engine that Toyota meant to have a turbo attached to it.

If you gonna work on the 5S, just throw in a cheap engine to keep the car moving. Save all your money for the turbo 5S. Why spend money on an engine you not gonna use later?
