Celica GT vibration
I own a '97 Celica GT 2.2L(Auto) and I'm experiencing some noise in the 2900RPM-3600RPM range that sounds like a vibration. I'm thinking engine mounts but I really have no idea. I recently had my CV joints replaced. I tend to drive my car a little on the rough and brutal side. For the most part thats only 30% of the time that I push it. (Red Lining on entering highway or racing home). I am kind of an idoit for this but I drive the car like a stick but its auto. Use L for my first gear, 2 for my second, D w/o OD for 3rd and D with OD for 4th. Its a habit cause I switched from my stick '96 Chevy Camaro and I feel that I get every once of RPM, power and toque from red-lining the engine. But back onto subject...I would like to know if anyone has had the same or close to the same problem as me and could suggest what to do? Friends say take it to get a diagnostic but I wanted to try here first. Help would be GREATLY apperciated!
OH~! Also, I took the car outta gear (in N) and revved to the same RMP area and I still get the noise. (If that helps)
Thanks,
V1cinity
