Gt4 pistons in a 3sge?

I need to rebuild my 1st gen 3sge engine and i am going to boost it so i was wondering if i could install some 3sgte pistons in my engine? because arent the 3sgte pistons low compression pistons? That way i could boost it alot more without detonation!

yes you oculd put 3sgte pistons in the 3sge currently im going through the same thing i boosted my 3sge and blew the oil ring on 3 out of 4 pistons so im going thorugh the rebuild process i bought JE pistons off ebay at 9:1 compression at 20 over bore for 489 with free shipping i havent recieved them yet but the machine shop said that they can alter the compression ratio on my motor and get it down to about 8.1-8.5 to 1 so if u have any questions you can IM me on AIM at mechanix0889 or jsut drop a messege

oh yea what turbo are you planning on running? i was running a t3 .36 hot .42 cold and boosted an easy 15psi (by accident)
