Thinking about purchasing 93 celica. Need some help!

Thinking about buying my son a 93 celica gt with 110k on it. The body has no rust, some paint chips but it needs a power steering pump.. I priced a remanufactured one for $89... I've never done a power steering pump on a newer car just on a 67 firebird and it wasn't that hard.. Is it simple or am I better off paying a garage to do it? Anything else that I should look for? He's asking 2grand for it.. Thanks

You don't have much space to get the pump out. Doable but a bit hard. You may spent a few hours to a day doing it.

PS is a common problem, i was told it was a pump for my celica, changed the high pressure hose and wolla, it was em' freaking hoses.....I've got a few friends who had "O ring' leaks...thats my only concern.
