supercharging a 5S-FE?

I know people turbocharged the 5S-FE before but has anyone supercharge a 5S-FE before?

Turbo is easier and cheaper. I think there is a SC kit.

Turbocharged and supercharged engines need stronger blocks, pistons, rods, cranks, etc.
The standard 5S-FE might not hold up to the extra pressure.

Better to get a turbocharged 3S-GTE which already has the stronger bits.
Possibly you could convert the 3S-GTE to supercharged.
Here is one place that advertises a kit.

Here is a discussion on ToyMods about 3S-GTE to 3S-GZE conversion.

You need stronger internal when you go high pressure. 7psi should be ok. Even the 4A take up to 12 psi.
