Getting a 1995 GT vert!

I am going to (hopefully) pick up a 1995 Celica GT convertible. I have seen pictures, talked to the owner and agreed on the price. All I have to do is go confirm that it is in the condition it is supposed to be in and it's mine, or my wife's actually.

It has 85K miles, it's black, loaded and is in mint condition. Plus it is owned by a retired Air Force guy in his late sixties. I'll take a couple of pics and post them after I pick it up. It looks like I may have found a real gem in this one.

We've been looking for a good GT with fairly low miles for some time. They seem difficult to come by in these parts unless you want to spend $12,000 or get one with a whole bunch of miles.

The only problem now is that I might have to find a winter beater.

Wish me luck!

Well I did buy it and the car is awesome! My daughter is the photographer in the family so I am waiting for her to take a couple of pics this morning. I will try to get them posted today.

It turned out to be a real gem. The guy I bought it from was 75 years old. He was selling it because the wind blows on his neck when the top is down and it makes his arthritis flair up. LOL! Not a joke!

In the meantime, does anyone know where I might find production numbers for this car? I am told there are only a handfull in New England so now I'm curious to find out how many were produced. I can't seem to find anything through Google or Yahoo.

Pics to come shortly!
