Exclamation Wobble Sound_Slight Vibration after NEW TIRES

OK

I have a 2002 Celica GT w/ 24,000miles.

Just had new RE950 tires put on and have had consistant issues with a wobble sound that occurs around 30-40 mph (more noticeable on very smooth roads), which manifests as slight steering wheel vibration @ around 75mph.

Also, the brakes pulse at the same frequency as the wobble sound as the car comes to a stop. At slow speeds in a parking lot for example, the brake pulsing is also noticeable.

the typical problem would be tires off balance - BUT, I have been back to the tire place 7 TIMES, and they have an electronic balancer and claim that the tires are fine. And the fact that the brake pulsing matches the wobble frequency makes it kind of wierd...

warped rotors???

Please help.

warped rotors or a CV shaft issue that would also cause a funny brake pedal feeling.

ok, I have an update on this. I lifted up the rear and just hand turned each of the rear tires - and of course one of them was scraping once per rev. I pulled off both rear drums and I think both of them are warped. They seam to be elipticle so I'm thinking that the wobble sound was from the drum pads scraping on the rotors.

I noticed that this car has a uniqe method of centering the wheel on the flange, everything seems to depend on the chamfered center hole in the wheel to keep things centered, the lugs are really not serving any purpose to keep the wheel centered- as there is about 1.5mm of play in them when inserted into the lug holes. (I initially thought this is what was causing the issue, until I realized that center whole is chamfered)

I backed off the pads in the drums so that they are not in contact with the rotor until the brakes are applied. I will leave it like this until I can scrape up another 100 bucks for 2 new drum rotors...
