where do I get power for neon light?

I have a neon light I placed under the dashboard of my 91 celica gti, and its plugged into the cigaret lighter thing. But now I want it to work without the cigaret lighter thing. Where do i get the power for this thing? Which cable can I get the power from? and will I need an 'invertor' for the neon light tube? Or can I just cut the cable and connect them somewhere? Im getting confused by all the stuff I read and hear about it so please give me some good advice someone!

Use the wire that comes off the back of the cigarette lighter (pull the trim panel off and you'll see it.) The thing is that the plug that goes into the cigarette lighter has a fuse in it, and you should have a switch somewhere. So, unscrew the top of the adapter, pull the fuse, read the amperage and then go find an inline fuse and a switch and wire it up.
