Canada 1991 GT4 "drive shaft boot"

Hi all -- I'm considering importing a 1991 GT4 from Japan, however, the exporter says the "drive shaft boot is a little noisy" and that this is "common problem on this vehicle at this age."

Can someone translate? Is he talking he CV boot or the CV joint maybe? Any insight?

Otherwise, the car is in pristine shape with no mods at all. I've never driven one (they are pretty rare around here) but I understand it would be worth it.

Thanks!

ummm meens you might have to change your axels....you can grab rebuilt ones for the fron for like 200-300 CND for both. If you buy all four (front and back axels) then the rears might be more expensive because trhey are rarer.

well many things can go wrong with a car at 15 years old. But this isnt a huge repair its just taking ou the shafts and dropping in new ones....actually not hard at all. Make sure if you do change them, you change the tranny seals at the same time ( you can get these at any toyota dealership).
