Gen5 Resister question

Has anyone tried a resister and actually gotten a response? If so What size resister do i need for My car? It is a 1990 gt Celica with 2.2l and short ram intake.
I tried a 2.2k ohm but idk if that is the right size... i went to radio shack and they had sooo many to choose from so i just guessed based on what the guy was telling me.
Also all i do is plug it into the Air flow sensor correct? OR do i have to plug another one into the ecu units or any other computer part?

My advice is don't do that. Fooling the ECU that air is cold, while it is actually not, is not a smart way to modify the engine. Instead, try getting "real" cold air to the engine would be more beneficial.
