The 3sge is bacically the engine that Toyota boosted in the alltrac, withother modifcations. But they also boosted it from the beginning of its life. you're talking about boosting an engine that is ancient now and is guaranteed to have compression loss and leaky seals, rings, valve stem seals and worn bearings.

Go ahead and out 10lbs to it, see what happens. THen come back and ask us what you need to rebuild the engine.

FReshen it, then boost it, be smart, not a smartass

if you have the 3sge rebuilt and it has soild balanced compression, then it should take 10psi all day long no problems. Do a little more research into the 3sge versus the 3sgte and you will find all the information you need.
