Unhappy 93 GT electric door problem

hi everyone

i just bought a 93 GT celica and im really happy. Just one thing is goin wrong with it and its the electric doors.

Even when the doors are unlocked, i cant open my drivers side (it works 1 out of 10 times) and my passengers works 1 out of two times. When it doesnt work, its as if the doors are still locked, or they open half-way (it opens for half a inch but stay stuck). Even when im inside. What i need to do to make them work is to pull a lil bit more on the unlock button (not the switch, the actual button with the red stripe) while pulling the door handle and it opens up. Si i need my two hands to open it up ! If im outside, i absolutely need to use the key and 'crank' further so it opens up.

Its kindda really anoying, but i though id fix it easily. I opened up the door panel inside to look at it but everything seems alright, i cant really look if its missing something because the assembly is like a big white box. Is there any adjustement for the electric motors, so they would push everything a lil further, or could it be something else?

has anyone ever seen something like that on a celica or any other car? any suggestions would be welcomed.

thanks

Sam

I have the same problem with the passenger side door on my 91 GT LOL I haven't torn into mine yet so I can't really help you with it. It could be a few weeks before I even have the time to work on mine.
