Gen5 5sfe exhaust manifold compatability Q !

I am in desperate need of an exhaust manifold for my 1991 celica GT with the 5sfe. I was told that the manifold from a 1998 5sfe equipped camry will work. Are there any other 5sfe applications that I can look into.

The few scrap yards here either don't have what I need or won't remoce it from the "good engine" to sell it separately.

thanx

Anything from the S-series will work: 3S-FE, 5S-FE. Check out early 90's Camry with the 3S-FE. If you're not so far away, I got one.

Imnot too far away, only st. john;'s, newfoundland. LOL

Ive located a manifold from a 1998 toyota camry withthe 5sfe that inclused about 12 inches of front pipe, for about $130. I think Im gonna pick this up tomorrow and have it sand blasted/order the gaskets from my dealership.

To ship your manifold from ontario wouldnt be cheap Im sure !

thanx

John

$130? You have any junkyard you can go in and pull the parts? I can't see spending more then $50 for it.
Shipping will be bad cause its heavy. I'll give it to you if you come pick it up.

Yes, I'm pretty sure a exhaust manifold from the camry will work just fine, just lift the hood of the donor car and look for the 5sfe on the sticker under it since camrys came in atleast 3 different versions i think... 1.6L 2.0L and 2.2L but don't quote me on it.

anyone know if aftermarket headers from a 5SFE MR2 are compatable with the celica 5SFE? I know the bolt pattern for the engine side is good to go but the headers replace the down pipe also so would the other side just bolt on also

^You may need to cut the downpipe and shorten it. Nothing a muffler couldn't do.

MR2 dps usually don't work on Celicas because since the MR2 doesn't have the alt up top, the MR2 dps usually take up part of that space.

You are correct.
They havn't had the 2.0 [3SFE] in YEARS.
I've never see one with a 1.6, but the early ones might have had one in them.
