I had the same problem on my 89 Celica (A/T) and it turned out it was the bottom, rear motor mount way back in the back of the engine bay, underneath everything. I had the front mount replaced, also, which I htink helped with the vibration, but the side ones are fine and those usually stay in pretty good shape. I didn't replace them because of the cost and it turned out there wasn't a problem with any of them anyway. Check the lower, rear, motor mount, though, because it's the hardest to see and it's a very crucial mount. You can't even see it unless you jack the car up and really get underneath your engine.
