As my username might suggest (or not), my wife and I are very satisfied owners of a '05 Phantom Grey (Gray ???) Corolla S. As "luck" would have it, the POS Olds 88 I've been driving (was given to us by my dad, as he can no longer drive...) has taken a few fender benders this past year, and this latest one has enough cosmetic damage that it's a-gonna be totalled, so...I needed another car - happened to have a neighbor up the street just put their car out front for sale, and I ended up liking it...a lot...and pulled the trigger this afternoon. Picked up a white '92 Celica GT convertible, and it's in spectacular shape - interior is in showroom condition (amazing, considering it's got about 140,000 miles on it), body is super clean (only minor peeling of pinstripes, no biggie), new tires, new brakes, new plugs, new valve cover gasket - engine does not leak a bit. Cost was $3800 usd (he took $200 off of asking price due to fact that he's the second owner and doesn't know if the timing belt (chain??) has ever been replaced. The car looks and drives great.....am a very happy guy, right about now. My first car, in fact was a Celica - a '75 ST ....drove that into the ground and traded it on a '91 Tercel, and traded the Tercel in on the '05 'Rolla. God, I love Toyotas - my Oldsmobile is the biggest POS we've ever owned (and my wife has owned a Tempo and an Eagle Summit

). It's no wonder GM is in the crapper. I'm a-gonna be keeping this "new" old Celica for quite a few years.......I'm shocked the guy didn't ask more, truly - it's immaculate

Now, I just have to find the time to get it registered/titled/plated

....probably Friday...oh, well. So we're now a total Toyota family (....as it should be

)
